The Beatles

The Beatles changed the way music was listened to, recorded and thought about. They continued to revolutionize and break the mold that they themselves created over and over again through their far too short life as a group. Even after the groups break up and  Lennon and Harrison’s deaths, the group continues to impact world culture.

No matter how big The Beatles got, they never stopped thinking ahead and thinking of new ways to do things. They never got too big to not let other things influence them either such as music from other cultures and competing groups. Musical styles from Brittain, The US and even India are apparent in The Beatles songs.

The Beatles’ voice and lyrics early on were young and jovial. As the group matured, their style got deeper and more profound, continually inspiring deep thought and study of what they were really trying to say in their songs.

The goal I will take from The Beatles’ life is to write a song in 2011 with words; lyrics inspired by an event in my own life.
