by Jesse Michelsen on January 31, 2011

Ok! Today is part two of reading music. This will teach you how to read notes on a sheet of music, what time signatures mean and what a measure is. Enjoy!

Very awesome! It’s nice to have the review because while I “know” this stuff, sometimes I can’t remember the proper names and terms so thank you!

I think it’s been great so far. I know you said you would be talking about the different notes and how to tell how long they are. Maybe a lesson on all those weird symbols (for crescendos and such) and how to tell what key the music is in (so you don’t forget that every time you play an F, it’s an F#, etc.). But I think you know what you’re doing so keep it up!

haha yep you’re jumpin’ ahead just a couple weeks. I’ll be doing some of the Latin phrases, the weird symbols and the key signature in coming videos. Key sig should be next week. I’m glad you are enjoying these and if you have any other suggestions, please let me know how I can improve!
